Where did this multifaith calendar come from?

This multifaith calendar is a collaborative effort of Religions for Peace-USA, the Interfaith Center at the Presidio, and other interfaith partners. It is based on information referenced from a variety of sources.

The information for this multifaith calendar has been gathered through a number of other sources. Primarily, internet websites of various religious organizations have been referenced. For example, majority of information regarding the Jewish holidays has been obtained from the Orthodox Union Organization website. Various Buddhist organizations have been sourced for the Buddhist holidays, including Urban Dharma organization. Information for the Hindu festivals was retrieved from the Hindu Almanac at www.hinduism.about.com. The United Nations website was used for information on world holidays and social justice days. Additional information was retrieved from the Interfaith Center at the Presidio organization, Religious Facts.com, and The US Naval Observatory. Various multifaith calendars have been referred to such as those available on the internet at provided by the Harvard Divinity School, Office of Religious and Spiritual Life at Wellesley College, as well as PBS and the interfaith calendar.org.
